Edward's first encounter with the Assassins came when he uncovered the existence of object that promised to make him both wealthy and powerful. Although wary of the pirate, the Assassins saw good in the man and brought him into their fold. To the effect, Edward was joined by the Assassin Adewale, who would aid in the former's eventual capture of the warship Jackdaw
